What Nivneh is
Project Nivneh Bayis, Inc. is a volunteer initiative that pairs a single with a Partner Advocate, with eleven committees of volunteers organized to support those pairs.
Appointments booked with a shadchan through this site are separate. They carry the fee shown before you book. Nothing is collected on this website; the booking confirmation explains payment.
No promise of an outcome
This is the most important thing on this page, and it should be said plainly rather than in small print.
- Nivneh does not promise a shidduch.
- Nivneh does not promise dates, introductions, or a particular number of them.
- Applying does not guarantee that you will be accepted, that you will be paired, or how quickly a pairing will happen.
- Nivneh does not promise that any shadchan will take you on.
- Committee programs depend on volunteers and may not all be operating or available at the same time.
What Nivneh does promise is effort: that a real person will advocate for a real person, and that she will not be doing it alone.
Applying, and being accepted
Partner Advocate applications are screened by a Nivneh team member. Approval is at Nivneh’s discretion, and Nivneh may decline an application or end a pairing where that is the right thing for the people involved. Eligibility rules apply and are set out on the relevant pages.
If you are advocating for a single you already know, a second form about her is due within a week of approval. If you asked to be paired, the Nivneh team assigns a single to you instead. Help with the form is available.
Volunteers, not professionals
Committee members give their time and their skills. Where committee guidance is available, including coaching, chizzuk, wellness, nutrition, styling, photography and resume help, it is offered in a personal and voluntary capacity.
It is not professional advice, and it is not a substitute for medical, psychological, financial or legal advice from someone qualified to give it. If something needs a professional, please see one.
What is expected of you
- Give accurate information. A pairing built on a wrong detail helps nobody.
- If you are filling in a form about someone else, have her agreement. Please see the privacy page, which covers this properly.
- Treat what you learn about other people as private. Advocates and committee members are trusted with real details about real families.
- Use the site and the forms for what they are for.
Services run by other companies
The application forms and the appointment calendar are operated by outside companies. Those services carry their own terms and their own privacy policies. Nivneh is not responsible for how an outside company runs its own service.
