A Partner Advocate networks on behalf of one single and guides her as an outside party, not as a mother or a sister. You will be trained, placed on a team, and supported the whole way.

Who can be a partner

You may already qualify

Marital statusAnyone who is currently married or has been married, including divorced or widowed. Partner Advocates are women.
Or stage of lifeAnyone who is at least one year post seminary, or two years post high school.

You do not need to be a shadchan, and you do not need experience. What you need is one single you can speak for, or a willingness to be matched with one.

Authentic advocacy is built on a real relationship. That is why we encourage partners to start with someone they already know.

Someone you know

A niece, a cousin, a relative, a neighbor, or a close friend: anyone you have a genuine connection with and would be glad to speak up for.

A Nivneh assignment

If you do not have someone in mind, we will carefully match you with a single who needs your support.

Two eligibility rules The single must be at least one year post seminary or two years post high school. And advocates cannot partner with their own daughter, sister, or sister-in-law: the point of the model is that someone from outside the immediate family speaks on her behalf.

The process

Four steps,
in order.

Nothing about this is left to guesswork. Here is exactly what happens, and when.

Step 1

Application & screening

Complete the Nivneh Partner Advocate Application. A dedicated Nivneh team member reviews your application and carries out the screening step.

Step 2

Pairing

If you named a single on your application, a Nivneh team member sends you a link to the Partner Advocate Single Information Form, which goes into more detail about her than the application did. It needs to be completed within a week of approval, and the team is happy to help with it. If you asked to be matched instead, this is when Nivneh pairs you.

Step 3

Team placement

You are placed on a team of approximately ten partners, grouped by partner type, the age range, and the type of singles involved, and led by an experienced team leader. Teams are where collaboration happens and where the networking widens well beyond your own contacts.

Step 4

Ongoing support

Continuous resources, guidance and step-by-step support throughout the advocacy process from your team leader, with specialist committee resources to draw on.

The Partner Advocate Application

A dedicated Nivneh team member screens your application, and the team contacts you once you are approved.

Before you open the form

  • Your address, contact details, date of birth, shul, and marital status.
  • A little about your work, chessed, and any involvement in shidduchim.
  • A personal reference: their name, cell number, email, and how they know you.
  • Whether you already have a single in mind, or would like Nivneh to pair you.
  • If you do have someone in mind, the form asks for her name, her date of birth, what she is looking for, and a description of her in your own words. You can attach her resume and a photo of her as well. Please speak to her before you fill that part in.

The form saves as you go, so you can stop and come back to it. It has to be the same browser on the same device.
